I was so hoping that she would have become tougher and maybe use her smarts to turn humans into saiyans to help regrow the species. And as a great scientist herself she would use herself first. :)

Well, she did help regrow the Saiyan species... just in a different way.

But yeah, this would have been a cool twist.

I can see Vegeta going "excuse me, but the fiercest fighters in the Universe cannot simply be grown in a lab!"
