I had high hopes for this film. Being directed by the man behind The Lighthouse, and more importantly The Witch, which is one of the most historically accurate movies ever made and also my favourite horror movie, I thought this would finally be the Hollywood movie to do away with the mindless savage stereotype and do the Viking Age and Norse culture justice. I was wrong. Spoilers ahead, though seeing as this is basically a Viking version of Hamlet, I'm sure most of you already know how it ends.
